FAQ

What does photovoltaics mean?

Electricity can be produced from sunlight through a process known as the photoelectric effect. A solid-state solar cell transforms radiant energy of the sun directly into electrical energy. The process is performed with no moving parts, making photovoltaic technology very reliable. Most solar cells are made of the second most abundant element on earth - the semi-conducting material silicon.
